ABOUT MCTV

Marist College Television was formed in 1983 as an outlet for student productions, and a way for students to gain hands-on experience in television production.  Today, MCTV is staffed by 16 board members, and supported by a membership of over 100 students of various majors.

MCTV broadcasts live news and sports, as well as scripted and reality entertainment programs.  The station also produces a number of special presentations of various campus events, many for DVD and web distribution.

Students of all majors and minors are welcome, and are the heart and soul of the organization.  MCTV thrives on student ideas, dedication, and creativity,  and has continuted to grow from its humble beginnings.

From once broadcasting from the basement of Champagnat Hall, the station now broadcasts on a state-of-the-art, fully digital system - one of the first among college television stations.  Thanks to a prosperous relationship with Marist College, MCTV continues to grow each year, moving beyond everyone's expectations.
